Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 8, these have very few pests or diseases and are incredibly low-maintenance!

Planting and Application:

This flowering shrub doesn't let anything harm its beauty and is incredibly resistant to deer, rabbits, but the birds and beneficial pollinators adore this shrub as much as you do! Who can really blame them though? This shrub is spectacular! Pot up or plant in the ground as a fantastic and unexpected specimen! Spreading but low-growing hedges and property definition, cascading planters and garden fillers! Or as natural, unpruned backdrops to Perennial gardens, and as flouncy Cottage garden additions!

You can also use Czechmark Trilogy Weigela in mass planting making it look like one large shrub and illuminating your landscaping effortlessly. Your hillsides and slopes will be shining from the varied blooms and from the fluttering of wings! These ornamental flowering shrubs have the perfect tubular-shaped blooms that are a draw for butterflies, bees, and especially hummingbirds! Snip a few stems for indoor bouquets as well!

  • Cascade of Red, White & Pink Flowers
  • Glossy Dark Green Foliage
  • Adored by Beneficial Pollinators & Hummingbirds
  • Low-Growing Spreading Mounds
  • Phenomenal in Mass Plantings, Specimens, Hedges & Containers

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Weigela shrubs thrive best in full sun, requiring at least six hours a day, with eight or more just improving the color and quality of your Weigela. Doing their very best in average, well-drained garden soils, they enjoy moderate moisture levels but are not particular on the soil type. A generous layer of mulch helps retain soil moisture in the ground as well as insulates the root system from heat and chill.

Czechmark Trilogy® handles pruning well and benefits from a fresh cut in late winter. However, if you wish to give them a trim, just be sure to do it immediately after that first spring flush of color. Weigela does benefit from a renewal pruning every few years, with the oldest stems removed that are not as productive to keep the shrub dense, loaded in blooms and lushly covered in foliage.

  • Full Sun
  • Well-Drained Enriched Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Need
  • Prune After Spring Bloom & No Deadheading Required
  • Resistant to Deer & Rabbits
