Little HottieĀ® Hydrangea

First EditionsĀ® Little HottieĀ® Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Bailpanone' PP32,549) is covered in big white fluffy blooms all summer! A florist and a butterflies dream, these big clusters of florets emerge green and open into pure sparkling white. They smother the round ball of greenery for you to enjoy until fall when they turn tan and dry on the stems.

This well-branched, compact panicle Hydrangea is covered in large blooms from the bottom to the top of the plant and holds tight flower clusters out on strong stems. With natural basal branching, this new introduction doesn't need much pruning in production or the landscape to grow into a well-shaped plant with strong stems!

Little HottieĀ® Hydrangea is very cold tolerant! Hardy down to zone 3 and up to zone 8, these adaptable shrubs maintain a midsized rounded form that’s 3 - 5 feet in height and width. However, bred in Georgia for heat tolerance, Little HottieĀ® performs equally well in Minnesota! The flowers don't get heat-stressed or turn brown in excessive heat.

Planting and Application:

Little HottieĀ® is a perfect mid-sized hedge that light up the landscape with their long bloom time and lush greenery! For gorgeous property definition that won’t shrink in the heat, plant rows or banks of Hydrangea along your home's foundation, driveways and side yard for a classic curb appeal effect!

Anchor and accent mixed borders, or use as a fantastic backdrop to your perennial borders, these are traditional additions for updated Cottage borders and cutting gardens! Bring armloads of blooms indoors for your bouquets, or let them dry on the plant for dried dƩcor or winter interest!
